Sittab Stol AB was founded in 1991. After many years of service to the forest industry and the construction industry, the company specifically niched itself in the driver's seat and ergonomic products. The main product from the start was the specially made armrests, and just like today there was a selection of options such as seat, headrest and turntables. During the 1990s, the range was then broadened with more proprietary products. Key customers such as John Deere, Komatsu Forest, Atlas Copco and Caterpillar began to appreciate Sittab's ergonomic products.
The ownership structure expanded and changed as the volume more than doubled. The new owners brought useful experience and know-how and had previously held key positions in sales, marketing and management. At the start, the new management started a period of restructuring and internationalization of the company for both customers and suppliers.
2010s to the present day
In 2011, Sittab made an important start-up in Hudson, Wisconsin, and took another step into an increasingly expansive U.S. market. Right from the start, there were a number of existing customers who appreciated the local presence.
