Sittab is the world leader in ergonomic driver and operator environments, developing and manufacturing ergonomic solutions for most vehicles such as turntables, armrests, joystick boxes and more.
Our steady growth has led to subsidiaries in India, China, Europe and the USA and in the coming years our focus on the international market will be further intensified. Sittab Sweden, which is our headquarters, currently has a turnover of approximately SEK 125 million and our US office $6.5 million. About the job
We are now looking for a designer/project manager for the office in Gustafs outside Borlänge.
You will be part of a team of engineers working closely with customers and suppliers to develop new solutions that give our customers a good position in the market. A large part of the work will consist of driving the projects in cooperation with our customers' development departments with the help of our Indian engineering team that performs the detailed design. The position is primarily aimed at meeting our local market in the US where the emphasis of the work is to work with our local sales office in the US to drive product development towards our machine manufacturing customers such as John Deere and Caterpillar.
Location
You will work from our headquarters in Gustafs where we currently have our PDP centre. However, travel to e.g. USA and China will occur.
Your qualifications
In this role we see a responsible, proactive and collaborative person with the ability to deliver results. It is also important for this position that you are structured and responsive to our customers' needs, and can create a requirements specification to be met. One of your driving forces is to build relationships and trust, both with our customers but also internally as we are a global company working in close cooperation between our different offices and departments. Good knowledge of mechanics is a prerequisite for this position and we require that you have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.
We believe that you are basically an engineer with one or more years of experience in design and have a good understanding of dimensioning and mechanics.
As electrical functions are increasingly becoming part of our products, experience/knowledge of basic electronics is an advantage but not a requirement.
We work with Solidworks CAD and PDM, and experience with these is a plus.
